Once we had written our shot list and had a film plan we needed to find suitable location. We originally had 4 in mind but after thinking in more detail narrowed it down too two so we went and looked at both of them to see which suited our script better.
Our filming needed to be done outside on a street, at a front door, in a bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen. We choose to use Location 2 because it was better suited. The street outside the house had better streetlights which we needed in order to show they were comeing home in the early hours of the morning. However, Location 1 had a better kitchen in terms of windows and lighting. Location 2 had the en-suite bedroom and bathroom where as location one didn't. The main problem with location 1 was that it didn't have a suitable place to film the breakfast scene where as location 2 did. The other main problem with location one which we didn't originally think of was that it is attached closely to other houses where as location 2 is detached and away from other houses, making it easy to film the front door scene and more realistic.
